There are some valuable items to find in the Ruined Forge of Starfall Past, if you're willing to brave vicious enemies.
If you're looking to get your hands on everything the DLC has to offer, then you'll have to explore every nook and cranny of the Shadow Realm. This includes the Moorth Ruins, which, though somewhat unsightly and rife with our least favorite Curseblade enemies, is a necessary step to reach the Bonny Village hidden area that is cut off from the rest of the world.
How To Find The Moorth Ruins
The Moorth Ruins are not particularly difficult to find as they are in plain sight. They are located in the center of the Scadu Altus. You'll find them down the road east of the Highroad Cross Site of Grace after you reach the massive plateau by defeating Rellana, Twin Moon Knight in Castle Ensis.
There's another unorthodox way of reaching Scadu Altus by skipping the Legacy Dungeon entirely, though. By utilizing the sealed spiritspring jump near the Elder's Hovel in Gravesite Plain, you will be launched straight into the Fort of Reprimand in Scadu Altus.
To reach the Moorth Ruins from there, you will have to travel north along the road until you reach it.
Moorth Ruins Walkthrough
While Moorth Ruins may appear a lot larger on the map, there are only a few items that are worth collecting here. Immediately after reaching the area, your first priority should be activating the Site of Grace, Moorth Ruins, and collecting a Scadutree Fragment from the nearby Miquella's Cross.
The Dryleaf Dane NPC can also be found near the Moorth Ruins Site of Grace, but he's a man of few words who will only be entertained if you've obtained the Monk's Missive and the Gesture: May The Best Win.
Opposite the Moorth Ruins, you can enter an enemy encampment, where you will find the Fire Knight's Cookbook [1] and another Scadutree Fragment.
After that, you should keep on traveling east from the Site of Grace to reach a statue that you can loot for a Revered Spirit Ash , but watch out for a Curseblade that will try to sneak up on you.
From there, continue southwest until you spot a shadow undead holding a pot below you. Killing it will drop the third Scadutree Fragment in this area, but be prepared to face another Curseblade that will ambush you as you collect the item.
Once you've got the bolstering material, work your way to the house with the fallen wall and walk around it to collect the Shattered Stone Talisman from a corpse lying on some debris.
The Shattered Stone Talisman increases damage dealt by kicks and stomping skills.
Return inside the house, go up the stairs, and then head through the doorway. Once outside, work your way slightly northeast to reach a chapel submerged in the ground, where you can grab a Shadow Realm Rune [3] .
A few paces left from there, and you will be able to drop down an opening in the ground that leads to the underground section of the Moorth Ruins. On the balcony ahead, you will find a corpse holding someString crafting material.
Then head through the adjoining door to reach an area with a dog and a corpse holding some Whiteflesh Mushroom .
Past that area, you can head through a hole in a wall to drop down into a cave. Before proceeding, though, ensure you explore the path behind you to find a dead-end with a Golden Horn Tender consumable.
After that, you can press onward the other way you came from until you can drop down to the roof of a ruined church with a group of girandole-wielding mages. When you've dealt with the enemies, you can enter the belfry to grab the nifty Golden Arcs Incantation from a chest.
Then, continue your descent toward the ground below, where you can grab a Shadow Sunflower from a corpse.
How To Reach The Bonny Village
That's about everything you can find in the Moorth Ruins, but don't fast travel out yet though. Instead, head through the tunnel on your right, and you will come across a ladder.
Take the ladder up, and though it may feel like the longest ladder you've ever climbed in a Souls game, you'll eventually emerge in a secret location known as the Bonny Village. Up ahead, you'll find the area's Site of Grace, which you can activate.
