Lok Sabha Election Results 2024 LIVE: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed BJP workers at party headquarters in New Delhi and asserted that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) was strongly headed to form government for the third time. What was perceived to be a one-sided affair has now turned into a 'kaante ki takkar' as the INDIA bloc is giving a tough fight to the NDA even though the BJP-led alliance went past the majority mark of 272, show trends. PM Modi was eyeing a record hat-trick win while the Congress-led Opposition alliance, INDIA bloc, was hopeful of causing an upset and has claimed it would win 295 seats. Election results 2024 Live: NCP's Bajrang Sonwane wins from Beed
NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar) candidate Bajrang Manohar Sonwane won the Lok Sabha elections from Beed with 6,83,950 votes. He defeated BJP'sPankaja Gopinathrao Munde by a margin of6,553 votes.

Election results 2024: Indore's BJP candidate Shankar Lalwani wins with highest margin even
Indore's incumbent MP Shankar Lalwani won the Lok Sabha elections from the constituency with the highest margin of 11.72 lakh votes.
He was followed by Congress' Rakibul Hussain, who won by the second-highest margin with 10.12 lakh from Dhubri in Assam.
Former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan won from Vidisha by 8.21 lakh votes, the third-highest margin, followed by the BJP's CR Patil, who recorded a margin of 7.73 lakh from Navsari in Gujarat.

Election result 2024: Results declared for 542 seats, BJP wins in 240, Congress in 99
The Election Commission of India has declared results for 542 of the 543 Lok Sabha constituencies, with the BJP winning 240 seats and the Congress 99
The result for the Beed constituency in Maharashtra -- where the NCP (Sharad Pawar) candidate Bajrang Manohar Sonwane is leading the BJP's Pankaja Munde -- is still awaited.
While the Lok Sabha has 543 members, counting was held for 542 seats after the BJP's Surat candidate Mukesh Dalal was elected unopposed.

Election result 2024: BJP says Bengal performance not up to expectations
The BJP described Tuesday's results of Lok Sabha elections in West Bengal as not up to expectation but said the voting percentage of the party has increased.
BJP state spokesperson and Rajya Sabha MP Samik Bhattacharya also said that the party is happy that three TMC candidates, who had been elected on BJP tickets in the last assembly polls and changed camps without resigning, have been rejected by people.
"Yes, our result was not as expected. We accept the mandate of the people of Bengal. We will self-introspect. But our vote share has definitely increased compared to that in 2019," he said, without mentioning any figure.

Election results Live: 13 Union ministers lose Lok Sabha polls
BJP heavyweights Smriti Irani, Arjun Munda, Ajay Mishra Teni and Kailash Chaudhary were among the 13 Union ministers who tasted defeat in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, as stunning losses in three Hindi heartland states forced the BJP to rely on allies to form the government.
Minister of state for education Subhas Sarkar was defeated by Trinamool Congress candidate Arup Chakraborty in Bengal. In In Jharkhand's Khunti Lok Sabha constituency, Union Tribal Affairs Minister and sitting MP Arjun Munda lost to Congress candidate Kalicharan Munda.
Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare Kailash Choudhary stood in third position in Rajasthan's Barmer. Union Minister of State for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying L Murugan lost to DMK's A Raja by a big margin.

AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi on Tuesday slammed the BJP and said that party's poll performance was below its expectations due to its hate politics during the last 10 years and the false promises it allegedly made to the people.
Owaisi, who won the Hyderabad Lok Sabha constituency for a fifth consecutive term, said he will extend support, if necessary, in the event of Narendra Modi not becoming the prime minister for the third term.

Election result Live: BJP's Harsh Malhotra wins from East Delhi seat
The Bharatiya Janata Party's Harsh Malhotra defeated AAP's Kuldeep Kumar to win the East Delhi Lok Sabha seat by a margin of 93,663 votes.
Malhotra, a first-timer, was fielded by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in place of outgoing MP and cricketer Gautam Gambhir.
The BJP won all seven seats in Delhi in the 2014 and the 2019 general elections, and is set to repeat the feat for the third time.

Election result 2024: 'INDIA bloc to decide PM face tomorrow', says Uddav Thackeray
Impressed by the INDIA bloc's show in the Lok Sabha polls, Shiv Sena (UBT) president and former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Tuesday pushed for staking a claim to form the next government at the Centre and said the opposition alliance's leaders will meet on Wednesday in New Delhi to decide on the Prime Minister's face.

Election result Live: Congress bags Allahabad seat 40 years after Amitabh Bachchan's feat
Congress candidate Ujjwal Raman Singh on Tuesday secured a win on the Allahabad Lok Sabha seat, ending the party's 40-year-long dry patch when actor Amitabh Bachchan was elected.
According to the Election Commission, Singh won the seat by a margin of 58,795 votes against Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Neeraj Tripathi. Singh got a total of 4,62,145 votes, while Tripathi received 4,03,350 votes.

Union minister Nitin Gadkari on Tuesday won from the Nagpur Lok Sabha constituency for the third time in a row, defeating his nearest Congress rival by a margin of 1,37, 603 votes.
The senior BJP leader polled 6,55,027 votes against 5,17,424 votes received by Congress' Vikas Thakre in 20 rounds of counting.
